We mow centipede tall enough to shade its shallow roots, keep bermuda tight so it spreads dense, and never scalp St. Augustine in the summer heat.

During the growing season — roughly April through October here — weekly mowing keeps warm-season grass sharp and prevents the scraggly look that comes from letting it stretch. Growth slows way down from late November through March, and we'll tell you honestly when your lawn doesn't need us.
